Robert Lopez & Kristen Anderson-Lopez

“You have to pinch yourself and say, ‘How did we get here?'” “It’s one of those dreams you don’t have as a kid, but you’re really glad when it comes true.” Hmm — sounds almost like a line from a song.

Robert Lopez is the youngest and fastest EGOT (winner of Emmy, Grammy, Oscar, and Tony Awards). He and his wife and writing partner, Kristen Anderson-Lopez, won the Academy Award for Best Song for “Let It Go” from the phenomenally successful Disney animated feature, Frozen, for which they wrote all the songs. Frozen is the fifth most successful film ever, and the soundtrack album is triple platinum, with a triple platinum single, two platinum singles, and three gold singles. Bobby and Kristen also wrote the songs for Finding Nemo: The Musical for Disney World and the Disney feature film Winnie The Pooh. Bobby is also the recipient of three Tony Awards for co-writing the long-running, international smash hit musicals The Book of Mormon (Best Musical, Best Score, Best Book) and Avenue Q (Best Musical, Best Score). The Broadway cast album of The Book of Mormon also won the Grammy Award. Bobby shared two Emmy Awards as a writer for the popular children’s television series, “The Wonder Pets” on Nick Jr. and was nominated for an Emmy for the musical episode of “Scrubs.” His upcoming projects include Up Here, an original musical co-written with Kristen, to be directed by Alex Timbers and produced at La Jolla Playhouse in 2015.
